PASSIAMAN is a brand created and imagined in France . Delphine lives in Meudon, Élise in Saint-Cloud. Agnès, our pen is also from Meudonna. Jeanne, our illustrator is from Lille.
PASSIAMAN toys are made of 100% solid wood . The wood used comes from European beech forests and bears the FSC label . This label means that the wood for our little Elkas comes from sustainably managed forests .
More than 80% of toys sold in France come from China , so it was important for us to have our toys manufactured in France. After contacting dozens of workshops in France (in the Jura to be precise!), no workshop wanted or could produce Elka. Europe appeared to be a satisfactory alternative. Our toys are made entirely by hand in the Czech Republic , 100 kilometers south of Prague.
Our toys are hand painted with water-based paints that contain no toxic elements.
Our toys therefore comply with the European standard EN 71-3, also called the “ toy standard ”.
Our accessories are sewn in workshops in France and Belgium. Elka's accessories are made from Oeko-Tex fabric . A label which certifies the non-toxicity of textiles and dyes. Our bags are made from recycled old sheets. This process is called “ up-cycling ”.
Our books are printed and processed on FSC papers . This label means that the papers used in our books come from sustainably managed forests.
Our toys are made in the Czech Republic, 100 kilometers south of Prague. They are made in a modern family cabinetmaker , offering all social and environmental guarantees. For more than 80 years, this cabinetmaker has been manufacturing high-quality objects.
Our fabric accessories are made in reintegration workshops in France and Belgium. These workshops welcome people in difficulty who benefit from individualized support both socially and professionally. Keeping people at the heart of the PASSIAMAN project is essential for us.
Our books are printed and produced in Italy in a family printing company , north of Milan. All our other communication materials are printed in Paris, France .
Agnès, our pen , helped us put into words our wonderful story The Adventures of Elka. Certified in modern literature and passionate about words, she plays with them to tell beautiful stories .
Jeanne , our illustrator , studied applied arts before becoming a stylist for women's and children's ready-to-wear. Alongside her styling activity, she has always drawn for the world of children. In her illustrations, she likes to transcribe little stories imbued with sweetness , dreams and poetry . Our meeting with Jeanne was a real favorite ! With the stroke of a pen, she brought all our characters to life.
